Who's Hiring MBAs - Top 25 Firms

This ranking represents the top 25 financial firms who most actively hired graduating MBAs through January 1, 2009.   Although, of course, the top two companies on this list no longer exist in the same capacity they did in 2008 (Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers), three of the top five companies, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley, are expected to increase their hiring of graduating MBAs well into 2010.

Of the eleven popular universities surveyed at the end of the 2008 recruiting season, the following 25 financial services companies were reported to have hired the most graduating MBAs.  While this list does not represent a full picture of the MBA hiring in 2008, it does show which companies hire most actively.   The fourth company on the list, Lehman Brothers will, of course, not be hiring in 2009.  However, as widely reported, there is expected to be a resurgence of financial firms hiring graduating MBAs towards the end of 2009 and into 2010.

Source Universities: Boston University, University of Chicago, Duke University, Insead Kellog, University of Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, University of Rochester, University of Pennsylvania -Wharton, University of Maryland, University of Virginia - Graduating MBA Classes of 2008.
