Q3 - Global Debt, Equity & Equity-Related Jan 2010 - Sept 2010

Equity capital markets activity totaled US$506.7 billion during the first nine months of 2010, a 9% decrease from the comparable period in 2009. Bolstered by the record-breaking initial public offering from China’s AgBank ($22.1 billion) and the world’s largest follow-on offering from Brazil’s Petrobras ($66.8 billion), the third quarter marks the largest three-month period for global equity capital markets activity, by proceeds, since the fourth quarter of 2009. - Source
