Global Investment Banking Top Banks Q1 2011

Fees for global Investment Banking services, from M&A advisory to capital markets underwriting, totaled US$21.9 billion during the first quarter 2011, a 7.9%% increase over last year and the largest opening quarter since 2007.  Investment banking fees in the Americas and Asia-Pacific registered increases of 13.8% and 12.3%, respectively. EMEA was driven by higher fees in Middle East & Africa and improved by 6.4% while fees from Japanese companies fell 26.5%. - Thomson Reuters
