Job Description
This position is responsible for evaluating and assisting in the development, implementation and monitoring of collections/default strategies and collections behavior scorecards for the Chase Real Estate portfolios.
 
Responsibilities include developing strategy, reports and recommendations regarding collections/default strategy, compiling presentations to communicate these strategies to upper management, and reporting on strategy results on a regular basis.
 
He/she will aid in the review, analysis, and monitoring of key operational and portfolio data.  As part of the team, the successful candidate will also extract data in order to provide analytical reporting, ad hoc analyses, and initiate process improvements.
 
 

    * Develop reporting and analytics in support of Collections/Loss Mitigation strategies used across the default organization.
    * Assist in the development and maintenance of models used to generate collection segmentation strategy.
    * Utilize these statistical behavior models to develop collections strategies.
    * Assist with implementation and monitor collections strategies via data extraction and reporting in support of the various Real Estate portfolios.
    * Quantify results of operational champion/challenger tests.
    * Assist in the evaluation of assumptions used throughout the Servicing Operations for reasonableness, consistency and errors.
    * Perform ad-hoc research, analysis, and reporting as needed by senior management

Qualifications

    * BS degree (MBA preferred) in a quantitative oriented field: Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or Operations Research.
    * Minimum 5 years experience in an analytical position required.
    * Two to three years experience in the financial services industry desired.
    * One to two years experience in collections operations and/or Risk Management/Strategy development desired.
    * Strong programming skills in SAS/SQL etc. required
    * Basic statistical analysis capabilities including CART/CHAID, regression, etc.  desired.
    * Team oriented with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
